Where it started

It started with a green carton and the HP 61

GREENBOX makes replacement cartridges for printers. The name comes from the carton: our ink cartridges come in a green box with a white G on the front.

We started with ink for home printers. The HP 61, 63 and 65 families and the Canon 245 and 240 pairs are still the cartridges most people know us for.

Then the range grew toward the office. Today most of what we make is toner, for desktop laser printers and for the copiers that small companies lease.

What we hold to

You shop by the number on the cartridge that just ran out: 63XL, TN760, 106R03479. So we keep the number first.

How we work

Three rules for every cartridge

  • An inkjet all-in-one printer on a white table with printed photos

    Named by its number

Every GREENBOX cartridge is named by its number and by the printer models that take it. Our finder accepts both.

  • A color laser printer on a white desk with a printed page in the tray

A page yield on each one

Each cartridge has a rated page yield at 5% coverage. Divide the pack price by it and you have the cost of a page.

  • A laser printer on a wooden desk with a printed color page

The right word for how it is made

Compatible means newly built. Remanufactured means rebuilt from a used original. Each cartridge has the right word in its name.
